Thrown weapons can be ideal for particular situations due to being quicker than other Ranged weapons like the bow or crossbow. While they excel in speed over their Ranged brethren, they do lack the accuracy and precision unless mastered by an individual.
With Thrown, it is a mixture of both Melee and Ranged mechanics. When you Throw, you must declare the area you are attempting to hit on your target. You then follow the Distance, Accuracy and Angle mechanics as outlined in Ranged.
If you hit, your Damage Event is the difference between your Attack Roll and the Defense Roll. Then you follow the Damage Dice / Damage Increment along with your normal Bonus Damage Dice.
Attack Formula:
When throwing a weapon, every Increment to determine what Spread Die you use, is figured out by using 100% - 5% of the Crafting Roll of the Thrown weapon. Follow the Ranged rules for information on Increments.

(Strength + Thrown Ranks) x (Strength - Weight(delta)) = Distance of throwing a 2 lb. item.
