Your Vitality consists of every Attribute ranging from Strength to Willpower. (Charisma and Allure are not affiliated with Vitality rolls)
Vitality is spent for every action you make in and out of combat. A warrior cannot run around all day swinging a sword and a caster cannot cast forever.
Vitality is a concept of your body’s ability to receive trauma until it can’t handle anymore and collapse. This DOES NOT mean you are dead, just helpless. It is easy for your opponent to then stab you in the throat or use other means of killing you instantly.
Each Attribute is rolled separately, and each Attribute's score is recorded.
When you reach an Attribute of 7, you may choose an Expertise. Only when rolling an Attribute for Vitality at Event 7, will you receive the Expertise bonus.
You also gain 1 additional Vitality for every Primary Rank you obtain.
Death is finally achieved if you bleed out, both internally or externally, for an amount of damage equal to -30% of your total health after you are at zero.
If you are hurt enough that your Vitality becomes zero or below, you have passed out and are vulnerable until you are healed or have recovered naturally.
You would need to recover or be Healed for an amount equal to 30% of your total Vitality.
While sleeping, you recover a number of Vitality points equal to 20% of your total Vitality every 60 minutes.
While resting, you recover a number of Vitality points equal to 20% of your total Vitality every 60 minutes.
Light activity, riding a horse at a walk, you recover a number of Vitality points equal to 10% of your total Vitality every hour.
You do not recover any Vitality during more strenuous activity. Examples include combat, trotting or cantering with a horse, overland travel by foot, jogging or running.
